Life On The High Note
Listening: N.E.R.D. - 'Sooner Or Later'
Up Next - Justin Nozuka - 'My Heart Is Yours'
It's so funny not knowing the first thing you are going to start off your blog with. That's why I'll just go straight to the heart.
Tomorrow is my 18th birthday...(Holy crap...has it really been that long!?) I shouldn't be saying that I'm feeling older everyday, but that's just it. I'm confused about how or what I should feel in the morning. I mean it's not like a day is going to change the way I look or feel tomorrow, but knowing the fact that I'm a year older, then it could have it's toll. My age increases as my life expectancy slowly goes down. And that's the way I've been looking at this glass now. Fully realizing that we have our whole lives to determine how we wish to live and completely unaware of not knowing when the path will end is the basic reality. We could be going after that daring final chapter in our lives and whataya know, we end up dying because our time is up. Live life simply and easy is my motto. Don't try to complicate things because it always comes back to bite you in the rear. You got to stick to your word and tell yourself to keep promises and commitments. I shouldn't really get off topic because it's not like you guys signed up for Basic Life Instructions 101 told by Me. It's your life, fuck it up if you want, but I'm telling you, you will have to face the consequences.
I can say I accomplished a lot in the past week or so. I literally took advantage of my driving skills, slept early and woke up on time for unknown reasons, searched endlessly for songs relating to my past, present and/or future (very unsuccessful BTW) and proved to myself that there is hope at the end of it all. There is always something striving me to want to take part in whatever I want to achieve. And that's why I guess it's considered 'do-able'.
Hold on, my favourite part of the song is on.
"Sooner or later, it all comes crashing...down!
It's over. Leave it!"
Okay, where was I? Ah yes. So it turns out, I always got to find a certain likeness to it whatever that thing may be. The same goes for love. You like it, you do it, right? I have to be able to see the likeness in whatever it has to offer in order for me to go after it in the first place. It's basic learning correct? I shouldn't have to tell you everything life has to offer, but that's just the fundamentals of a larger masterpiece. You figure it our for yourself and see what changes it brings.
In my other life, school is good, relaxing and falling asleep in class, yet still passing...confused eh? But for the most part, I'm enjoying the present and I couldn't ask for anything better. Great to know I still have (a) reader(s) though.
I'm gonna leave you on a high note and say life is just a tragedy for those with deeper feelings and a comedy for those who think. You decide for yourself because it could end in one single blink ;)
