"You'll Never Know" By Chances Are

This post doesn't go something like this...It goes exactly like this. A poet named Shi lived in a stone house and liked to eat lion flesh, and he vowed to eat ten of them. He used to go to the market in search of lions, and one day at ten o'clock, he chanced to see ten of them there. Shi killed the lions with arrows and picked up their bodies, carrying them back to his stone house. His house was dripping with water, so he requested that his servants proceed to dry it. Then he began to try to eat the bodies of the ten lions. It was only then he realized that these were in fact ten lions made of stone. This may become a surprising story for some. Each syllable in that previous passage is pronounced 'shi' in Chinese. Look it up. (Time for you to look up last passage) Good, now onto my blogging. Here <- (not directly here, but below) is my first personal story of this month. Have you ever had that feeling where you see a girl you might know on the bus, but you don't ...

And "Timber" Goes The Tree

"It's getting to be a bit chilly in here, did you leave the freezer open?" Said the TV. "By no, I haven't got the foggiest idea where that certain breeze could be coming from." Replies the fridge. "I'm all shut-up." Said the stove. Just then, the fridge hears a very faint voice. "Oooooh." "Did you hear that?" Asks the TV. "How can I? I don't have ears." Answered the microwave. "Oooooh." Goes the voice again. The TV, being so wise in its technology, figures out what it is. "Oh, did Andrew leave the air on again? Didn't someone tell him he's living in the north now?" "Nope." Goes the microwave. "Wasn't my fault." Says the fridge. "Well, don't blame me just because I got the biggest mouth." Says the stove. "Well that's exactly the reason why we should blame you." The TV announces. "You don't deserve the right to be plugged in....

Brave Little Liars

Hi. I just got out of grammar class today and now I feel as if I lost some intelligence. You know that feeling that you get when you're going over a lesson you already know and (I'm sorry, I'm just really amazed at all the traffic going by outside my room.) once the teacher explains it in greater detail, you forget what you already knew, and learn it all over again as if you didn't know anything at all. I hate that because for me, it's like having to go over so much information in my head that it's basically crammed all into one small little pea-sized brain. And now I can't go back to how I knew that rule in the first place, I just have to stick with what I've learned from today's class. And that's where confusion comes into play because one side of my brain thinks from the past, and the other side thinks from the present perspective. I know both sides are right, but it doesn't tell me the reasoning behind the choice. You get me? Actually, I...

My Summer Playlist

Alright, So before I stall on it any longer, here I am back and prepared to give you another music update - an update on the music that's been keeping me alive this summer, and where would I be this summer if I didn't have music or 'we' didn't. If I didn't have anything to keep me going this summer, two words would pretty much sum it up - dull and boring. So we all listen and need our music to keep our spirits alive and set an uplifting mood for the freedom that is our so called summer. To introduce you to my playlist, you have to be open to all kinds of music (radio mixes included (but in some kind of new surprise)). This playlist, to let you know is the exact playlist I requested to be played on the loud speakers during North Bay's Summer in the Park this past month. Reasonably enough, they were looking for new up and coming artists such as the artists I carried with me on my iPod (as well as some of the great old time summer favourites) with the exception...

The Brightest of the Summers

What can I say? It's been a while since my last post, but I think for once I can finally sit down and clear my mind. Hows it going? Is you're summer going well? Well for me, it's been rather exciting and exhausting. Almost a summer that I could've never ever predicted. And I think ever since it begun, the experience blossomed into something remarkable. And to think, I've done so little this summer, yet it felt like so much. Back in Toronto, I went to sleepovers, I slept out on my back deck a few times, hell I even got a heated pool in the backyard just before I left (only used it once for 20 mins.) But I now believe that the hardest thing to do before going to college is saying goodbye to your friends you knew for so long which is really tough to do on the spot. Especially when you only got a day to spend with 'em. But that day on the beach and my face that turned bright red...well it speaks for itself. But you know I will miss you guys, as you are all down ther...

Death Is Just The First Step To Eternal Life

Image
It's been a while. Buy hey. I'm really deeply saddened to inform you that my grandmother past away last night. This past weekend, my parents went up for a trip to North Bay to visit her in her living apartment. She seemed fine, they told me, but she was having pains in her stomach. Both my parents came home Sunday, regretting leaving my grandmother in a hospital bed. And late last night, my mom left for North Bay to go visit her in the hospital to see if everything was alright. But, it was too late. The doctors did all they could, but after all, she was 80, and her heart had just giving up on her, (after suffering 2 fatal heart attacks during her senior years) plus, life was way past her time. The doctors said that they found a blood clog in her bowels and were unsuccessful in the attempt to try and remove it. It all goes to show how life is a very fragile thing to mess with. There were many good things about my grandmother, and of course many flaws too. But of course, it was h...

Time For Some New Music!

Hi folks. Me again. Time to do a music update: I was looking for new music on the web and came across a new band from Australia. But to my ears, they didn't sound Australian. In fact they shocked me in their hit single "Bones of a Rabbit" by introducing new wave syntheses and heavy drums, all backed by a slow piano rhythm to start off the song. It became one of my favourites because it was classified under music that really catches my attention. It was all new to me when I first heard it, but that sort of thing (the 'newness') really interests me into going after some of their other songs. So I had to be playing it ever since that first listen. Let me introduce you to a new generation of music for you. You see, Young Heretics , as they're called release music that is focused on 'lost love' and having found it in themselves, while expressing their story in their songs. The pair, Matthew Wright and Kitty Hart both from Australia came together in early 2...

Life On The High Note

Listening: N.E.R.D. - 'Sooner Or Later' Up Next - Justin Nozuka - 'My Heart Is Yours' It's so funny not knowing the first thing you are going to start off your blog with. That's why I'll just go straight to the heart. Tomorrow is my 18th birthday...(Holy crap...has it really been that long!?) I shouldn't be saying that I'm feeling older everyday, but that's just it. I'm confused about how or what I should feel in the morning. I mean it's not like a day is going to change the way I look or feel tomorrow, but knowing the fact that I'm a year older, then it could have it's toll. My age increases as my life expectancy slowly goes down. And that's the way I've been looking at this glass now. Fully realizing that we have our whole lives to determine how we wish to live and completely unaware of not knowing when the path will end is the basic reality. We could be going after that daring final chapter in our lives and whataya know...

I'm still Me. Isn't that strange?

Listening to - 3OH!3 "Follow Me Down" Next on track list - Kid Cudi "Pursuit Of Happiness" Well. You. YOU must be the only one reading this right? YOU may possibly be correct. On the side note, YOU are the only one who reads my blog right? If my blogs are that interesting, which I don't think they are, why do YOU keep coming back for more? That puzzles me. Hi again, still here and doing well. What's new? I haven't got the slightest of clues. But one thing is for sure, I won't have much to say this time around, because usually my blogs are based around certain topics of interest about my personal experiences. However, nothing has been happening to me lately, so I really have nothing to talk about. Sorry if I'm boring you, but right now I feel as if I'm boring myself. Ugh the cycle continues. Spring of 2010 is almost nearby. Depression is all that comes to mind. Lonesome. And entering misery. Is this how I expected this spring to begin? Of cour...

Help I'm Alive, My Heart Is Beating Like A Hammer

Hello all, Back from vacation down south. It really was remarkable. The sights, sounds and tastes all lived up to expectations and it was an unbelievable experience. I tell ya, the Dominican Republic is the place to go to relax and escape from life's misery; it sure did for me. We stayed at the Celuisma Resort in Playa Dorada right outside Puerto Plata on the north shore. The bad thing about that was that the sun was behind you on the beach; most of my tan lines are on my back. The staff were tremendous. They encouraged you to play games and activities every single day - even on rainy ones. (It only rained once one night). The rooms were great, although I could've used a fan in the washroom. Swimming was a breeze and believe it or not, the ocean was actually warmer than the pool! The food down there was awesome as well. One night we had Mexican food at a nearby restaurant, and they serve the best chimichangas, hands down. And one day, we took a cable car tour up the north mount...

Tell Me What Are We Waiting For?

Hello 2010! Yes I finally made it to the new year successfully with a few back-up computers and a new wireless laptop. One word can describe it; awesome. Okay, so have you guys heard? (Well unless you weren't connected to the internet this holiday season, you probably wouldn't have guessed it) but Haiti??!! What a devastation. It was very shocking to read and after seeing so many footages of the on-ground experiences, one can only imagine this horrible tragedy in perspective. I mean the whole world is affected by this altogether. And the least we can do it help out to local organizations or charities. I've already done my share, now it's your turn. I think now that I am happy and content with myself after the changes I experienced last year, I made a resolution to take it one step at a time. That goes for anything. (ex. actions, talking, romance...etc.) I need to think it over before any action takes place. That's something I was doing too much of last year. With th...
